EXERCISE PROGRAM

                                                             EXERCISE PROGRAM

My Exercise Philosophy and Regimen (it's not painful, promise)
I did NOT come to exercise without a little kicking and screaming. I used the excuse that I couldn’t fit it into my schedule, but the truth was, I didn’t like the out-of-breath feeling I got just a few minutes into exercise. I had gotten on my step machine a few times and couldn’t exercise more than five minutes without feeling physically exhausted and emotionally drained. Intellectually, I knew that if I just started slowly – five minutes at a time – it would get better, but I wasn’t willing to do the work until September 2010.

There was no “aha” moment. It was just that nagging voice in the back of my head that said it was really, truly, seriously time to add exercise to my weight-loss journey. It wasseptember I started a exercise program.

These days, exercise is just another staple activity in my life. I exercise in the same way I eat and sleep and go to the bathroom and take out my dogs and wash dishes and write. I find it easier for me to my exercise program first thing in the morning before my day begins. But make no mistake: I don’t jump out of bed every morning and say, “Gosh, can’t WAIT to exercise!” If I don't do it the first thing in the morning I don't do it! Most days it’s rote until I get 8-10 minutes into it and get past that starting-out fatigue and break a sweat that I actually like and sometimes love the motion and heavy breathing and challenging my body to do more, more, just a little bit more. Some days, though, it’s all I can do to get through a workout.

The best part about exercise when I started is that my weight-loss went into high gear. I started posting 2+-pound losses almost every week for the first six weeks. Even after that, my losses were usually in the 1- to 2-pound range.

                                               MY ROUTINE

My exercise program is no less than 1 hour and no more then 2 hours six to seven days a week.
Program includes the following................

(1) WII FIT PLUS
(2) LESLIE SANZONE "WALK AT HOME" 3 MILE
(3) LESLIE SANZONE "WALK AT HOME" 4 MILE

Every week I switch off, sometimes I mix things up during the week so I don't get BORED!!

My advice is always to listen to your body. My routine is my routine. What works for you? What's best about exercise is getting to know your body and what it needs, not what some fitness guru or your friends or me tell you it needs. Read fitness magazines, check out exercise books, then make your own choices. Learn everything you can about target areas and cardio fitness. Experiment. Do what your body loves to do. Mix it up once in awhile. There’s no need to get bored. I promise that in time exercise will become a part of your life. Notice I didn’t promise that you’ll love it all the time. But if you exercise regularly, you’ll love how it makes you feel and especially how it makes you look.

MY JOURNEY TO LOOSE THE POUNDS AND GAIN A NEW LIFE!!

MY JOURNEY TO LOOSE THE POUNDS AND GAIN A NEW LIFE!!

I am on a journey to lose weight. Sometimes I think it would be easier to ignore that person who is looking back at me in the mirror, I know it's going to take a lot of  hard work and commitment
to get the weight off.  I've always been told "You didn't put it on over night and you wont take it off over night". When I was in High School I never weighed over 110 lbs. After High School my weight
just sneaked up on me. I guess all those BBQ Chips and Cherry Pies caught up to me. Over the years I have tried different things to lose weight. In 2000 I lost 30 pounds on slim fast. Gained it back.
In 2004 I lost 70 pounds on Atkins after ending up with heart disease and doctor told me to stop it, I gained it all back. Then again in 2007, I lost 35 pounds on weight watchers. Cause of medical
problems and sever depression I gained it all back plus some. I'm miserable!! I am trying to do things this time to keep myself motivated!!

What makes this time any different from the other times? I guess I've reached the point where I WANT to change the person I am now. I don't like this person!! This person is always grumpy. This person has low self esteem. This person has no energy. This person is always depressed. This person hates herself. This person always walks around with a chip on her shoulders. This person stays emotionally drained.

When I got weighed at the dr. on 9-18-10 and found I lost 4 pounds in a month without tring! It gave me determination to diet once again. So 9-19 I started weight watchers on my own since I can't get
to the meetings and lost 31 pounds so far. I have a long way to go (39 lbs.) but I know I can do! I've finally decided enough is enough!!

I can either look the other way and think "I'll go on a diet tomorrow", we all know what "tomorrow" is all about. Tomorrow turns into days, months and even years. I've reached the point where I am
going to change that. I want to feel good about myself! I want to "LOVE" me!
